The Obamas Purchase Their Washington, DC Rental for $8.1 Million Dollars
The Obama family has made their Washington, D.C., residence permanent.
Barack and Michelle Obama have purchased the home in the neighborhood of Kalorama, where they have been renting since their departure from the White House.
The house might not be quite as large as their former digs at Pennsylvania Avenue, but they’re certainly not modest: the home boasts eight bedrooms and nine and a half bathrooms. They also reported that property records reflect a sale price of $8.1 million, which makes it the second most expensive property sale in the neighborhood, surpassed only by the $23 million dollar home of Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.
